Zoos

As an amateur photographer, I love Zoos. It is an ideal place to practice taking pictures, and actually you will see a lot of people tryingout their gears. Most animal enclosures allow you to go around, this is perfect as you will be able to position yourself according to the light. There are fast moving animals, slow moving animals, hard to spot ones, some with bright colors.
One issue is of course cages and meshwires that seperate you from the animals. If the animals are sufficiently far away from the wires, you can sometimes manage, but you will have to love with the mesh shadow sometimes.
The tricky ones are indoor enclosures and the ones that are behind glass. Poor glass quality and reflections will make your job very hard.
The best ones are where you can enter the enclosures, like the Masoala Hall of Zoo Zurich.
